Hello World Cup fever! I don't usually care about soccer but I do admit that I was a little excited when Australia didn't lose to Croatia. Unfortunately I was standing behind this bar at the time.

Last night we saw the Flaming Lips + Massive Attack at our first ever British festival in Hyde Park! The crowds over here are rude and pretty frustrating. Seriously, did somebody neglect to teach these people basic concert ettiquite? Whatever, it was still pretty great!

Hello!

So other than just working all the time so we don't become homeless, we have managed to get up to a few things. Look! Photos! )

One night, after watching the brilliant Western Derby in our favourite pub, the Walkabout [ha!], a certain rang picked up a random magazine which featured a page on upcoming european festivals. This small moment may have been enough to considerably change our plans.

Basically, we are probably no longer moving to Scotland and will be staying in London after all. I just don't think I'm motivated enough to pack up and start all over again. New city. New people. New transport System. More unemployment...no thanks! As exciting as it all is, it is also hard to have to do it twice within a couple of months.

Instead we are trying to go to this hottt looking festival in Spain! All that's holding us back is the price of flights. I may rob a bank so financial strain will stop standing in my way!

Wow, I am basically unemployed again! We changed to part-time at our pub jobs to get office jobs, but as yet have not been successful! We have so little responsibility in this country, and it's pretty good, although we do still have to pay rent, buy food and find money to party. Kate left a new job after half a day, saying to her boss 'I just can't do this...it's really really really bad'. How's that for honesty? I have even started lying and saying that I plan on being in London for 2 years, when the real answer is more like 2 months. Hopefully lies and deceit will get me far in life.
Today was my first day of temping as a data entry person and it was completely lame, i swear it actually killed some of my braincells. Tomorrow will be my last day, and that excites me greatly.

Another thing that excites me is that the party rang arrives tomorrow morning! Let the Perth influx begin! Andrew arrived on Saturday bearing gifts of a huge tin of milo and a big jar of vegemite [thanks mum!]. I actually realised a while ago that you can buy both of these products in the supermarket down the road, but i figured it would be much cheaper and funnier to make him cart them halfway around the world.

As a finishing thought, it's official that people in London need to learn how to drive. Seriously.

Whilst yesterday was our 2 week anniversary with London, it was also our 1 week anniversary with our house in Acton! It comes with some very nice housemates, but also the most atrocious shower you have ever seen. You think Gracetown is bad? Try this one, you have experienced nothing! Gracetown is pure luxury in comparison...belive me.

I'm still in love with the tube. It should be made the 8th wonder of the world, and if that's not possible, they should just get rid of one of the other seven. What good are pyramids anyway, seriously? Perth has a LOT to learn about public transport.

So yeah, we've just been working for the man and stuff, which is okay I guess...and we finally made it to Wimbledon for a night of hangouts with James. Pubs here have appropriate names!

Saturday night pre-drinks are still alive and well! What makes it even better is that the canned beer was bought from BP, and at the time we were unemployed.

That's right. WERE unemployed. We got jobs in some pub doing bar/waiting stuff, which means ridiculously bad pay. So now we are trying to get out of the ghetto and into our own place. Sometimes it's too much effort to live, but watch out London! Party time soon!

Okay, wow England, way to be cold and have maximum temperatures of 10 degrees. We are currently staying in Fulham with Raynee's brother {lifesaver!!} and don't have jobs, bank accounts or our own place to stay. Awesome! I don't really have much to say about London as we haven't been here that long, so now I will reminisce about the WARM weather that was Koh Samui.

This place was in fact so warm and tropical, that the water near the shore was unbearably hot. Like a goddam bath. This was our quest to find deeper water that we actually wanted to swim in. It was nice.

We became the laziest people ever, and spent most of our time on the beach doing nothing and saying "no thankyou" to just about every person that tried to sell us something. I think a lot of little Thai people tried to sell us drugs, but we weren't really too sure. There was some dude who sold pineapple and mango, he was our favourite and we stalked him quite a bit. Anway, when we weren't on the beach we basically hung out at our cool little bungalow with Harry. In the next bungalow, there was some little Thai lady with her not so little, not so Thai male friend. There was a LOT of that going on. Hot.

The food. So cheap, so good. Every night restaurants were set up all along the beach, and we visited frequently to say the least. The cocktails were also really cheap and pretty strong. Kate was highly impressed by her cocktail that came in a coconut, but she didn't finish it because she isn't hardcore.

Now we must eat and try to organise our lives. Enjoy Perthtown!
